FAQs

Are you planning to write another book in the Legends series?

Yes. I am hard at work on Book 2 of the “Legends series” scheduled for a Fall 2025 release and have plans for Book 3 due out shortly after. Be sure to check the blog section for updates on release dates and special pricing offers.

How many books will be in the series?

As long as I keep coming up with story ideas the series will continue.

Will there be any stand-alone books that are not sports related?

Yes. Although I love sports and believe they make for a great story telling, I do plan to begin writing a nonsporting novel soon.

Do you visit schools or libraries?

I have not had an author visit scheduled yet, but I hope to start in the near future.

Who were your favorite authors growing up?

Matt Christopher, Clair Bee and Stephen Meader were my favorite authors growing up. I read all the books I could find by them whether from the school library or the Scholastic Book Fair.

Do you have any book recommendations?

My book recommendations tend to be my favorite books from when I was a kid and for one reason or another these books have stuck with me over the years – The Adventures of Tom Sawyer, Where the Red Fern Grows and Hatchet. If you have already read these or are looking for other books to read, then check out my full reading recommendations page for even more books I’ve enjoyed.

Do you have any advice for middle school students?

Yes. Read. And keep reading. Not sure what to read? Don’t worry and don’t limit yourself to just books. Growing up I read all different genres of books, magazines (especially Sports illustrated & Beckett Monthly Price Guides) and comics. With so many reading options out there, you’re sure to find something that interests you. Just keep looking, then keep reading.
